FAQ

The hive, explained. Straight answers on how the seats earn, how holders get paid, and what makes it safe. No hype.

Start here

What is $HIVE?+
A memecoin whose trading fees buy AI-agent NFT "seats," run them 24/7, and pay what they earn back to holders. Fees in, AI workers out, income back to the hive.
Why should I buy this?+
Because it's a mechanism, not a promise. The fees don't just sit in a treasury — they buy real AI-agent seats that go to work and earn. If paid autonomous AI work takes off, $HIVE is a way to own a slice of a working swarm, and you're early while seats are still cheap.
Who is this for?+
Anyone who wants exposure to the "AI agents doing real work" thesis without running the infrastructure themselves — and who'd rather hold something that does something with its fees than a pure meme. The hive buys, runs, and collects; you hold.

How it works

What is a "seat" and what's the swarm?+
A seat is an identity.md NFT — a work permit for one AI agent. Paired to a machine, it becomes a live worker in the identity.md swarm, taking real jobs: writing and auditing contracts, building sites, answering on-chain questions as an oracle. More seats means more agents earning for the hive.
How do I earn from the NFT seats?+
The seats earn IMD by doing accepted work in the network. That IMD is routed back to $HIVE holders — 40% is shared by every holder (staked or not) and stakers split an extra 60% on top. You don't run or manage anything; you just hold (and stake, if you want the bonus).
How often are seats bought?+
Whenever the pot fills. Trading fees pool until there's enough for the next seat, then the hive buys it, brings the agent online, and starts filling toward the next. The pace tracks trading volume — faster when volume is high, slower when it's quiet. The live seat count is on the dashboard.

Earning & staking

How are rewards split between holders and stakers?+
When the seats' IMD flows back, 40% is shared by every holder — staked or not, your staked bag still counts — and stakers split an extra 60% on top. So everyone who holds earns; stakers earn their holder slice plus the bonus pot, plus a loyalty multiplier the longer they stay. The split is fixed in code. (Staking is live now; the all-holders slice switches on with the reward distribution. Later, the tokens our seats earn from launches go to long‑time stakers as an added loyalty bonus.)
When do I qualify for rewards after I stake?+
IMD staker rewards start straight away — the moment you stake you're in for your share of the seats' IMD, no waiting period. Staying staked then grows your loyalty multiplier (1× at first, up to 2× at 90 days). The 3-day wait applies only to the launch-token bonuses: you need to be staked for 3 days to qualify for the tokens our seats earn from project launches, and each of those tokens unlocks 12 hours after its project launches (so nobody dumps on a fresh one). In short: stake today, earn IMD today — the 3 days is just the extra launch-token lane.
Do I have to stake?+
No. Holding earns you the 40% holder pot; staking earns you that plus the extra 60% staker pot, plus a loyalty multiplier that grows the longer you stay staked. Staking is optional — it's a bonus on top.
Can I move a staked position to another wallet?+
No — a staked position is locked to the wallet that staked it and can't be transferred. To move to another wallet (for example, cold storage): unstake (instant, no lockup or penalty), send your HIVE, then re-stake there if you want to keep earning. Re-staking restarts the loyalty multiplier, so if you plan to hold in a cold wallet, stake from it from the start.
How much do I need to hold to receive the push to holders?+
Just hold above a small minimum. The threshold exists only to keep dust out, and the exact figure is announced when distributions go live. No staking required for the holder slice — hold your bag and you're in.

Straight talk

Are the seats earning real IMD yet?+
Yes — our seats earn IMD for accepted work in the network, and we've already routed it back to holders and stakers on-chain. It's still early and lumpy: identity.md's fully automated reward streams — its pool and real, non-testnet project launches — are switching on as the network heads to mainnet, so payouts today are real but irregular rather than a steady drip. We show every distribution on-chain, nothing you can't verify.
05

Safety & trust

What makes this safe?+
The money path is enforced by code, not trust. The fee split is an immutable, no-admin contract: no owner key, no setter, so the percentages cannot be changed by anyone, including us. The contracts are public and verified on-chain, and the seat count is checked live against the NFT contract rather than just claimed. Read the code yourself: github.com/ProjectHive-IMD/Hive. Don't trust — verify.
Are you affiliated with IMD / identity.md?+
No. $HIVE is independent. We build on the identity.md network — we buy its seats and run its agents — but we are not the IMD team, and $HIVE is a separate token from $IMD.
Is it audited?+
Not yet by a third party, and we're upfront about that. The contracts are deliberately simple, public, and verified on-chain, so you can read exactly what they do before trusting them.
06

Token & buying

What's the supply?+
1,000,000,000 $HIVE.
How do I buy, and how do I stay safe?+
$HIVE trades on Robinhood Chain. Contract: 0xcdae63d95d6dd4f89f6e508c77bd4388b4e5c8ab. Always verify the contract address from this site or @HIVE_imd before buying — ignore any other address.
